Addition Financial Foundation Honors 10 Nonprofits at 2026 Community Giving Celebration

Foundation awards $175,000 in unrestricted grants and year-round support to its fifth annual Community Giving Class

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2026) -- The Addition Financial Foundation celebrated 10 community nonprofit organizations Wednesday during its fifth annual Community Giving Celebration, awarding a total of $175,000 in unrestricted grants to support their work throughout the region.

Held at Addition Financial Arena on the University of Central Florida campus, the breakfast and awards ceremony brought together representatives from local nonprofits, government, education and business community to recognize organizations working to strengthen families, empower young people, expand educational opportunities and improve the quality of life across local communities.

The Addition Financial Foundation, established in 2021, is the philanthropic arm of Lake Mary-based Addition Financial Credit Union. Each organization selected for the Community Giving Class was nominated by an Addition Financial team member in recognition of its impact on the communities the credit union serves.

The 10 organizations in the 2026 Community Giving Class are:

• Central Florida Community Arts - $20,000
• Children’s Safety Village - $20,000
• Embrace Health - $20,000
• Empowered Girls, Inc. - $15,000
• First Tee Central Florida - $15,000
• Foundation for Foster Children - $15,000
• Gentian Creek Preserve - $15,000
• Prospera - $15,000
• Save a Life Pet Rescue - $15,000
• Tech Sassy Girlz - $15,000

“The Community Giving Celebration gives us an opportunity to shine a light on nonprofit organizations that are addressing important needs and creating meaningful change across our community,” said Cristina Lehman, Executive Director of the Addition Financial Foundation. “While the grants awarded today will help advance their missions, our commitment extends well beyond this event. We look forward to standing alongside every member of the 2026 Community Giving Class throughout the year, connecting them with resources, volunteers and opportunities that can help deepen their impact.”

Two awards of five-thousand dollars were also presented to The Greatest Investment Girls Empowerment Program, a Giving Class alumnus, and to Save a Life Pet Rescue, voted on Addition Financial team members who contribute to the Addition Financial Foundation.

In addition to grant funding, members of the Community Giving Class receive year-round support from the Addition Financial Foundation. This includes volunteer assistance from Addition Financial team members, complimentary access to the Addition Financial community room and informational workshops covering subjects such as media relations, fundraising and grant writing.
