During the event, the Foundation donated $175,000 to organizations that benefit youth, education, underserved communities in Central Florida, economic development and more.
The Addition Financial Foundation was launched in January 2022 as the philanthropic arm of Addition Financial Credit Union. The Foundation’s mission is to foster empowerment in our community through financial education and charitable giving.
The event was emceed by Dr. Barbara Jenkins, who served as Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools from 2012 to 2022. The event also featured clarinet performances by the Stetson University School of Music.
Award recipients include A Gift For Teaching, Black Orlando Tech, Camp Boggy Creek, FusionFest, Habitat For Humanity Seminole-Apopka, Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund, LGBT+ Center of Orlando, National Entrepreneur Center, Parramore Community Engagement Council, Salvation Army, Seminole State College, Stetson University, UCF Knights Helping Knights Pantry and Valencia College.
In addition to the Foundation’s donations, the credit union donated $50,000 to support the Superintendent’s Scholarship Fund through Dr. Jenkins’ legacy at Orange County Public Schools.
